Opinion Please (ESP)

Looking for an opinion. Recently purchased a 05 F250 CC 6.0 Lariet. There are a few other threads here where I discussed it's history. Has had headgaskets, HPOP and an exhaust manifold replaced according to Oasis.

The prev owner had tuned it but I am having the dealer re-flash it, and replace(reinstall) the catalytic converter.

The truck has 47,000 miles on it.

Given it's history, I am thinking of a Ford ESP plan. Since I just bought the truck less than 10 days ago, I can still get the Used 4 year 48 month premium plan (bumper to bumper). OR I can get the 7 year 13 component 200K DieselCare plan.

Premium with tax etc is $3445, and DieselCare is $1911. This includes a financing charge for the 17 month payments. There may not be any interest but there definetly is a charge for not paying it all upfront.

Which would you go with??

Should I be concerned (since it was SCT tuned, and obviously stressed) about the tranny in the future? or just go with the dieselcare plan?

Other thatn the engine, how well does the rest of these trucks hold up?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know what's better, but I KNOW you can get the 7 year 13 component 200K DieselCare plan for several hundred less than $1911 otd. Heck, I bet you could get it for $1400, but that's just my opinion. I'm kinda in a similiar bind trying to decide who to buy from, the closer dealer for a couple hundred more or the farther dealer for a couple hundred less. I could have it serviced at either after the purchase, but wonder how I will be treated when/if I have it in and they find that I didn't buy it from them.

Yes...I can get for 1475 online but that is before tax and paid in full, not with payments.

1475 online Plus Tax
1570 local plus tax and the dealer tells me there is a 167 charge to the dealership for financing it that would be passed on to me??

I'm sure the dealer will pass on the Budco sp? financing fee if you use it. Those dealers not using Budco may not even have financing available for this esp. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.
