All,
I am new to the concept of having two batteries in a pickup (97 F350) and am not sure how to hook up a battery maintainer type battery charger for times when the truck sits for a while. I've searched he archives and read my Diesel Supplement but have not found anything saying how to do so.
Do I hook one lead to the positive on one battery and the other lead to the negative on the other battery so they both get charged and maintained at the same rate?
Blanes, I'm not real sure but I think that you can hook the Pos to one battery and the Neg to the other and trickle them in series, 12 volts is 12 volts.
Even if you just hooked up to just one battery the other is going to get the benifit of the charge.
jmho,

got to sears they sell a small batt. maintainer for like $30 bucks you wire it to the batt and never have to take it off it mounts under the hood and is fully automatic. just plug it in and it turns on and shuts off on its own I wire mine to the same wire as my block heater so when you plug it in it charges and heats the block
