Headers have Arrived (Pictures)

2 weeks later and there here. There wicked heavy and have super thick flanges, but I dont understand the color tho, its not nickle chrome, I think he said its titanium or something weird, and also on the sheet it says its for 2WD F450-F700, which he told me thats what there for, but I dont know if he did clarify with me or not that it was for 4 wheel drive truck, hopefully there wasnt a misunderstanding because these things look sweet. Also my brothers dodge headers came, his are 4 into 1 design for his 5.9L beast.

Color looks fine to me. At least they're not pink.

Heat wrap em and save your electronics, then you wont have to see the color anyways...

Congrats on the latest purchase, we all wait anxiously for the next round of videos

Be careful heat wrapping them. Header wrap will usually void any warranty you may have.

I kind of like the color.

I kind of like it too, but i am confused tho, is it suppose to be better than just ceramic coating. I heard it was titanium ceramic coated, but otherwise I dont want to put on anything less than ceramic coated, it doesnt make sense to do that either. But the headers have incredible integrity, there super heavy and thick. I looked on there site and it say those headers were $1,500, but i only got them for $700

Those are dam fine looking headers. That looks like a titanium ceramic coating on your headers. Titanium ceramic is supposed to be a higher heat coating and a tad better than reg. ceramic coating. JBA offers titanium ceramic on their headers.

Do NOT wrap the headers. The Thorleys on my 6.8l are not wrapped and I have no heat related problems. Wrapping the Thorleys will void the warrenty.(Says in Papers that came with my headers)

The Thorley's are built stout, no doubt about it. Get em' on now.

I guess the 5.9l has the center exhaust ports right next to eachother like the SB chebbys do. I always thought that was a dumb design, and would create a hot spot.

Thanks dfk. Yeah I called Doug Thorley, he said that was there highest temperature protective, and said they will last for ever and can last up to 2,400 degrees F. So thats great news. Yeah what is the deal with that 5.9 design, having two exhaust ports right next to each other?

Hopefully everything turns out good for you. I had some trouble with headers because of a gasket that must have got broken during the install, thus creating a leak. Once I got that straightened out though all the time and money spent was well worth it.

You will be able to hear if there is any leaks. Retorque the header bolts again after many heat cycles and they shouldn't need to be touched for quite some time.

Awaiting the vids.

Very nice headers! I really dig the Tri-Y design. I am trying to find a set of tri-Y headers for my '85 carbed 302 2wd F150, but I can't find them for my application. Would you happen to have their phone number?
