Ignition cut-off, Backfire
Have a 460 carb and experienced a problem.
Sometime I start the engine and after 4 or 5 minutes that it runs in the parking, it stalls without any reasons. Do this the same way I turn off the ignition switch. I wait 30 seconds and retart it and it runs OK.
Went on a trip this weekend and was running on highway on cruise at 60 miles per hour. Engine rans at about 2500rpm and suddenly it cuts like in my parking for about a couple of seconds and went back alive. I never touch anything even the cruise didn't went off. It never lose speed on the highway. But when it went back alive it made a BIG exhaust backfire. A real gun shot! My muffler didn't appreciate this!
Is this an intermittent ignition problem? I think the power is cut for a small time on the ignition. It's like I cut the ignition switch.
Any tips would be appreciated.
