I'm about to replace the billet and thermostat in a few days. Based on what I read 8mm allen to remove the peacock at the bottom of the radiator. Maybe spay the bolts a few days before to loosen them up. Any other suggestions?
This all started because of a small drip on the lower hose see small amount of antifreeze on the lower billet tightned the bolts but suspect it's the o-ring inside. Should I go ahead and change out the lower billet as well?

No, you just have to drain the coolant down to below that point. That's what I did. My neighbor brought some machine over that sucked the coolant out and then we pumped it back in after we were done. Didn't have to remove very much.
