moisture preventing start

moisture preventing start

when its raining,or misting out my truck doesn't want to start. I replaced the ignition control module,but it still sounds like its flooded

The coil and plug wires are most susceptable to moisture, this is where you should start.

Cap and rotor may need to be replaced, too. Think brass.

What he means is get one with brass, not aluminum points. They really work much better in these trucks.

Sounds like you'e got some condensation in the cap or plug boots. The crazy weather has been messing with all kinds of electrics lately.

I had to blow dry the cap in my 1990 once.
