i have a 03 f150 4.2L 4x4 when i have the heat or fan on the truck runs like i have a bad injector or plug. I just had a tune up 2 months ago. when i turn off the fan switch the truck will run almost normal.. does anyone have any answers. please help!!!
Have you alt. checked. Your fan could be drawing enough current to rob other sensors, and they could be failing due to a lack of current. Just a thought...
thanks i will check. One other thing is the service engine light is always on solid until i get on the highway once i get up over 100km the light will start to blink, when i get off the highway it will go solid again.. The truck is all stock at the time.....
You need to have the codes read and post the code numbers here. Someone will tell you what they mean and where to start looking to fix your problem. A blinking CEL is usually a misfire or a pending code, I think. The solid CEL if for a code that has already been set. Autozone will scan them for free if you have one close by you. You gave your speed in k/hr so I am "assuming" that you are north of the border, so IDK if they have autozones in your "neck of the woods".
Yep. Check your plug and wire. Make sure you use di-eletric grease on the plug boot. Be sure you reset the code or computer. If you dont have a scanner, you can remove the batery cables for 5-10 min and that should do it.
