I have an 05 with the Bully Dog Power Pup. I have gone through the transmission "learning" process. When my truck shifts from 3rd to 4th, there is a pause, almost feels like a slip without the rpm's revving. I thought it slipped in fourth gear during a hard acceleration one time. Is there any thing like fluids or tunes that will help me? I'd even consider something that didn't involve pulling the trans.

Ill go ahead and be the first to tell ya to ditch the bully dog. They have a bad track record with the Torqshift tranny. How many miles on your truck and how many times you had the tranny serviced?

 

I had the Power Pup and Outlook Monitor for a few months and had the same problem. The Power Pup made very good power but it felt like my transmission was going out. My transmission did it stock also but it was so much more pronounced with the Bully Dog and got worse the longer I had it on. I downloaded the most current flash that was out at the time and was on the phone with customer service with no luck. I went with the SCT X3 (kept the Outlook) from Spartan Diesel and I could not be any happier. MY TRUCK RUNS & [font='Verdana','sans-serif']SHIFTS[/font] AWSOME NOW! Worth every penny.

 

listen to that guy... get an SCT and have MATT FROM SPARTAN tune it and you'll be happy camper. he has the shifting down to a 'tee' and you will not have to worry about that anymore..

and yeah, ditch the bullydog and your truck/tranny/wallet will thank you ! ! !
