i finally got o looking at my tach when shifting at wide open throttle because after 2nd my truck just felt like it went limp eventhough the exhaust was telling me otherwise. well sure enough it has a horrindous slip during the 2nd to 3rd shift and is slipping pretty bad throughout the rest of he gears, guess this is why i cant just punch it and do a burnout like i used to be able to do....not that i did it often that is.
Ok so what should i do now, get a conv. aand a rebuild kit or get a a full tranny, and who should i talk to about this
well i just went though that problem and now my truck wont even move because the tranny is completelty toast. I couldnt decide weather to keep it at stock or go for an aftermarket 1. I plow with the truck and have a bully dog PMT on it and plan on doing other mods in the future so instead of having the hassle to keep getting new trannys from ford i decided to jsut go with an ATS one. i ordered that and the torque converter for it yestarday so we will see weather or not i made the right decision. The ATS has a 3 year unlimited mileage warentee on it also. The tranny itself is only $500 more that the rebuilt stock one but then they hit you for $1400 for the ATS torque converter, OUCH

ya and about 750 i believe for the billet flywheel....was hoping for something cheaper than ats, a bit over priced in my oppinion, but not sure which would be better, ats, suncoast, or maybe a spartan...
