Removing Cruise Control
I have a 1990 f-150 4x4 automatic with a 351 and was just wanting to know if it is possible to remove the cruise control, since it doesn't work as far as I can tell anyways. If I do this can I just remove the vaccuum line on the top of the motor and plug it along with the cable on the throttle and then just remove the rest of the hoses or is there something in the computer that will detect this and mess everything up when trying to drive it.

Don't forget to take the cruise control module out of the vehicle speed sensor circuit. There should be a couple of two-wire connectors right under the vacuum servo with a green wirer and a red wire each. Disconnect both, then connect the two together that are not attached to the cruise module/servo. The VSS feeds the cruise module first, then from the cruise module into the engine computer -- you're just taking the cruise out of the circuit.
