Putting NP 435 behind 460

Hi guys I'am a newbie to this site but been working on Ford trucks for years.

I had a 79 F-350 dually flatdeck powered by a 460 and it had a rotten auto behind it and I wanted to put a 4 spd into it. I found the clutch pedal assembly and bolted that in.
Heres the trick you can use a 351M bellhousing on the back of the 460, a 390 flywheel and 11 inch clutch and standard 460 pilot shaft bushing. All this stuff all bolted together like stock all fit good with no rubbing or viberation problems.

I thought I had to get a L&L kit and mount a hyraulic clutch but I didn't and I could keep the stock mechanical linkage because I used stock 351 Bellhousing. I did have to modify the equalizer bar mount abit so it was inline.

I owned the truck for a year after the conversion and worked the truck hard carrying 6 to 7000 pound loads on the deck. I sold the truck to buy a LWB F-350 but the guy that bought the truck from me is still driving it.

which pilot bushing hole did you use on 460? there is a larger diameter most rear on the crank and a smaller one deeper in the counter bore, more forward. have the same swap in progress on my 79 f350 4x4. thanks.
