Could someone please do a desktop dyno for me? It is a 1971 429 thunderjet. It is bored .030 with Speed Pro forged pistons. It has a comp can extreme 4x4 can with .514 in. and .524 ex., Dove C heads with standard valves but better springs. Harland sharp roller rockers, and L&L headers. Thanks

For anything close, you also need to provide carb cfm, type of intake manifold, C/R, cam duration @.050, lobe separation and who ever does it will need to use stock DOVE cfm flow for the heads. I have the head info on a website, at the bottom of this page under 'flow comparison - aluminum and cast iron heads'.

Oh sorry the CR is 10.5:1, the cams duration at .50 is 218 in. and 226 ex.. With a 750 CFM edelbrock. The heads flow 263Cfm in. and 135ex.

That seems like pretty high compression for that cam. I'd think something in the 230-240 @ .050 would work much better at that compression.

Thats the cam the machine shop suggested, he the cr is around 10.3 with the head gaskets.

In a 4x4 that cam should be a good application. Any additional duration will raise the power band to where a higher speed stall converter would be required and off-idle torque will be lost. Those exhaust head flow numbers won't handle much over .500 lift.
