1st Oil Analysis Report Back - Problems?

I just got my first oil analysis back from Blackstone and they noted some fuel in my oil. My truck had 20,024 miles at time of change and the oil was in there for 5,127 miles. The fuel percent was listed at .5 and they said it's not much but should i be worried. I would post the report but i don't know how to post a .pdf file.

.5% fuel in oil is fantastic. Mine has ranged from .5 to 2.0%, which is within the acceptable range. I'd be concerned with a possible leaky injector if I had consistant levels over 3%. Excessive idling and stop and go driving will also contribute to fuel in oil.

.5 is great. I wouldn't be too concerned unless the fuel dilution gets above 2%. I think that's where Blackstone considers the dilution to be abnormal. Also, Blackstone recommends driving your rig for 20 or more minutes prior to pulling the sample as this heats up the oil and evaporates any moisture or fuel that may have built up from the truck sitting.

As a first time diesel owner, I chose to start sending my oil to Blackstone....and what a relief to know that the motor is sound based on their inputs.

I really recommend a series of Blackstones for somebody that buys a used truck like I did.

Sure makes it easy to sleep at night!
