I just upgraded from an '04 to an '07 Superduty and plan to put my Retrax bed cover on the '07. I really liked the Retrax and would recommed it for anyone who likes a lockable bed cover and needs the ability to use the bed w/o a topper in the way. My only complaint is that the Retrax canister covers up the front tie downs and the rails covers about 60% of the stake holes.
I want to install some accesible tie downs. Has anybody done this? I was looking at installing either a headache rack or stake hole tie downs, but can not find anything that doesn't require me to modify the rails on the Retrax.
I think they charge $25 extra for the pocket cut-outs when you order the Retrax. You could do it yourself with a router, carbide bit, and a simple pattern.
