"Lazy Throttle"
This is an excerpt from a post under "Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums > Performance, Engines and Troubleshooting > Computer Chips and Tuners":
...I HAD A LAZYTHROTTLE TAKING OFF BEFORE I DID THIS. TO GET RID OF THE LAZY THROTTLE ON THE 5.4 ELECTRONIC THROTTLE, JUST TURN ON THE KEY,DO NOT START THE ENGINE, WAIT UNTIL ALL THE BELLS QUIT DINGING, PUST THE THROTTLE PEDAL SLOWLY LET'S SAY 5 TO 10 SECONDS, AND LET OFF THE THROTTLE, WAIT ABOUT THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME, YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT THE DIFFERENCE...
I noticed the same thing with my new-to-me '05 F250 SD Crew Cab with the 5.4 motor. Is the throttle lag part of the electronic throttle? And, is this the correct procedure to get rid of the "lazy throttle"? And finally, will it cause any damage if I follow the procedure?
