Question alternator question

I have an `05 Eddie Bauer 6.0 diesel Excursion. Last time it was in for service, the dealership was nice enough to give me a 3 page list of EVERYTHING on my Ex from the factory with part #`s I think? Just about finished with a full audio/visual system with 5 tv`s and 3000RMS watts of power I`m trying to find out how many amps that my alternator puts out? The part # off my sheet for the "Extra Heavy Duty Alternator" is 4C3T10300AA . Any help would be greatly appriciated!

I can not specifically answer your question. But, here is a link to a company that may be able to.

I have no idea if they are compatible but, police interceptor crown victoria has probably the highest output alternator available.

Good luck.

I also have ALOT of electronics in the truck and we upgraded to a stinger alternator. At idle it puts out 200 amps and at 2000rpm it outs out about 250 amps. The reason I like these alternators that they are specifically made for vehicles with large demands but will not incure any noise from the alternator. They are made for larger high end systems. Otherwise, wrangler makes another high amp alternator but they are kinda noisy.

Thanks, Bryan

You don't, perchance, have dual alternators, do you? Some EX's come with two.

As far as I know, there's only one alternator available with the diesels, a 110-amp. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford referred to that as "Extra Heavy Duty". Even the ambulance-prep trucks with diesels and dual-alternators only come with two 110-amp units.

I'm pretty-sure that any alternator with a higher output rating will be aftermarket.

Thanks guys, I`m steering more towards the "Stinger" alternator. I have stinger caps and have heard nothing but good about thier products! "Shadowdd" - Nice system, very clean! I hope your son is doing better, I read through one of your posts a while back, and man I really feel for ya, and hope things are going better It was a rough 2007 for us. We lost our oldest of 5 kid`s, our 15 year old son in Febuary to suicide and then 8 month later to the day we lost my youngest brother 28 to suicide also
Anyway, hope all is well and thanks for all the help.

Wow, sorry to hear of your loss.... thanks for the props on the sytems, we have worked pretty hard at it. I know how much of a pain it is to keep a good system up, your X is also looking great.

Thanks, Bryan
