Performance computer chip Q's
Is there a computer chip/programmer available that will increase fuel economy without long term damage to the engine such as blown head gaskets? I don't need any more HP or TQ, just better fuel economy. A few guys I work with have Dodges and they have a computer programmer that does exactly what I'm looking for but it's made primarily for dodge. Is there a company that makes one specifically for us? What are you guys using?

Year and engine size would help. There are many programmers available for Fords - same companies that make for the other manufacturers. Try searching Hypertech, DiabloSport, Superchips, etc. There are lots out there depending on the type of truck you have.

SCT from Matt at Spartan would be your best bet for getting as safe a tuner as you could get. If you don't want any hp or torque improvements at all then I would say some stock plus programs would be in order for you or just tranny programs. I wouldn't do any of the off the shelf tuners especially in your case since you don't want any hp:torque changes, so you would especially have to go custom even though I would recommend custom no matter what.
