Ground Wire

I have an '89 F-350. Would the ground wire that goes from the motor to the frame being broke cause the gauges, blower, radio to not run at full power, also, the indicator lights were dim, and it wouldn't start. Both batteries are good and fully charged, cables clean, and the alternator is putting out around 14 volts. This problem is intermiten, I put on a new wire, so far so good, I just was wondering if that would've caused these problems. I hate to get stranded LOL.

I agree with Ron. Your lucky the broken ground didn't also cause stalling issues.

Not to mention the alternator is grounded to the motor as well.
