thinking of geting a new wiring harness, which company makes a complete harness, inside, engine compartment, and lights? the electrical system on this truck is killing me!!!!!!!!!!
you haven't dug deep enough
do you have good grounds in the rear? a little rust is all it takes, remove and clean them
could be a problem with the T/S switch, they're prone to failure
you didn't mention, are the front signals working?
im pretty sure the grounds are good because i cleaned all the ground wires and painted them a few months ago, but im going to check them.
turn sigal switch sounds complicated, never taken that apart before, i have an idea of what its like but ill have to do some poking.
any one have diagrams?..........
make a ground from the bulbs ground to the truck frame....it will show you if the ground in any of the sockets are bad....i just fixed mine with similar problems as yours. do all of the sockets not just the ones you suspect.
Turnsignal switch is like a bllion times less complicated then putting a new wiring harness. You painted the ground wires? Maybe the paint is not giving you as good of a ground. I had a similiar problem and it was my turnsignal switch. It's easy to replace. I think it took me like 10 minutes to do.
thank you very much, my dad brought one home from work from an earlier model, same thing except for display light.
didnt fix the problem.
i cleaned the connections to the actual flasher and nothing.
the turn signals work at some points when i was messing around with the wire so i think its a short somewhere. gonna work with someone on it tommorow and if it doesnt work im gonna order a painless or centech wire harness
