Recall Notices???

Hey Guys,
I bought a 06 f-150 scab off of a used car lot, after I got it home I had a couple of issues with it. I ended up getting into it with the salesman a little bit, and I wondered is it their responsibility to let Ford know that I bought this 06 and that any recall notices will be sent to my address?

You should recieve your recall notices if there is any.In 97 I bought a 97 F150 from a (non Ford)used car lot and I recieved recall notices in the mail.

Ford finds the vehicles through the state DMV based on who it is registered to.
