Right - Mercon V is only for the tranny. My V8 calls for 5W-20; if the 4.0L V6 calls for 5W-30 then any quality oil in that weight would be fine. The filter on the V6 is a lot easier to change than the V8.

If you're talking about the plastic trim below the rear window that's cracked, the only permanent fix is to replace it with a new type of adhesive; lotsa $$$ because the new one comes unpainted.

Good luck with your new ride!!!

Thanks for the oil tip on the tranny!

it's not the plastic trim, but part of the truck itself. About a 2inch line - small crack.

I looked a litte closer. The crack is part of the lift gate, right near the ford emblem on the lift gate.

I'm going to try and tinker with the rear air controls. Slight air comes out, but the dial (1-4 switch) doesn't work right - no less or more power when moving it from 1 to 4. Any ideas on where to start? Just pop the panel off and see if there are any disconnected wires?
