Zip,there was a HighBoy crew cab for sale last summer in Enderby.I am not too sure what the price was and I think it had a flat deck.It was pretty rough.I am going to Salmon arm this week and I was going to swing by and see if is still there. If you are interested at all I will give the particulars on it.I will take my camera and post a couple of pics.
I asked a mechanic if I really needed the stock 4bbl on my 460...and was told that that if you don't stomp on the throttle the 2nd 2 barrels never open and that the 1st pair supply less fuel than in a 2bbl carb. He insisted that I'd get better economy if I drove sedately and left the stock 4bbl in place. Whether that would be true on a 300 I6 is a good question.

That is true a properly set up 4bbl should yield better fuel economy than a 2bbl. If the foot isn't always mashed to the floor.
I looked into putting a 4bbl on my 300 I6,the guy"s at this speed shop in Van said unless I am looking for high rpm's,I should stay with the single barrel.Because I will gain higher rev's but lose the torque. To me that's what the I6 is all about, torque. It just keep's pulling and pulling and pulling and pu....... well you get the picture.

I do like the I6, my truck just has a mess load of grunt, then with the longer stroke I have great low compression for comming off the hill, rarely have to use the brake, just drop it into 2nd (auto trans) and let the compression slow me down. my truck is EFI not carb tho.
Up here in Burns Lake I put it in my front yard and use it for guest accomodation when I'm not using it. I figure it sleeps two in the seats and depending on size from 2-4 underneath the truck...I notice it also has the coveted "Mercury" tailgate, lol.
I can't see it going for much more money than that.I bet he would trade for that tool box you got Zip. I wonder how difficult it would be to bring it across the border,it's not far from you Zip.Now that would be a good road trip.I will ride shot gun for ya!

Trade my new box. Now you have the wheels turning in my head. Bring some cash and I'll clean the shotgun seat off.
Well it didn't sell. I like the guy's new shop in the background of one of the pictures.
That would be an idea. I think I need to wait until the garage is done. Going to need to hang onto my cash. Once it is done then I can look for the project.
