Just start drilling holes all over the place like mad Cheeto. You'll figure it out eventually. Check out a company called West texas offroad. They will rebuild your box and drill it for you pretty cheap or they will sell you a complete bolt on kit with everything you need for less than $500. This is one of those things Id mess up also so thats what Im going to do....one day.

What was your comment the other day?...something about me being a smart @$$?

Awesome Cutts! Thats some hella stout parts. I cant wait to see the progress after the weekend. Why does orange paint make knuckles look so hot?

Dirtjumper, when chit is this nice it constitutes a long A sound. Say it with me....blAng blAng. The term "bling bling" is usually reserved for the chit the rest of us can afford.

its actually very easy if you dont mind being a little tedious, clean, and precise. read up on billavistas article... i've done at least a dozen boxes. http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billav...Tap/index.html

why didn't you end up going with the psc kit?
you will LOVE stazs wheels! what options did you go with?

i had heard a few 'better' reviews about POS including customer service. that and sean (owner) wheels all the places i go (grayrock, tellico, morris mountain, etc). because he is so close i would have NO trouble loading up my bronco and taking it to him if i ended up having a serious issue. and lastly he is so close when i ordered all my stuff it was here in about 2 days or less!

thanks guys, i cant friggin wait. its looking like i wont get to work on it as much as i had hoped. with that being said i REALLY want to make the Feb ride. if i start this stuff now i am pretty confident i will not make the ride first weekend in Feb so i may hold off. prolly a great time to hook up my headlights and cover them in 3M film to protect from flying rocks that could crack it!

BWHAHAHAHHAHA......the mods didn't like us jumping on his case at all.....

i got the "medium" duty 20"x14" with pressed centers powercoated gloss black on the outside of the wheels and satin black on the inside of the wheels...pattern 12 on their website....

i cant wait for my first tug with them.....im going to air down to like 2psi and have a huge footprint and pull everyone one!!!!!!!!!!!
too many pulls have i seen the tires either aired up to much or the wheels will spin on the rim.....thats always funny....

Dave:

I may not be in the same category as these guys. I have been told that my "Mall Crawler(s)" (because I have more than one) are not as cool as the others here, but I can help you with your hydro assist and any ford box.
We have actually discussed your front suspension for a while, and regardless of what you decide, there is an answer.
Simpicity is the key, and the fact that you can read a tape, and are not concerned about being the same as anybody else, means to me that you are capabile of making a reasonable decision. You can weld, and fabricate, (I have seen your work), and you already know enough to make a responsible choice on your truck.
If you think you have to go with hydro-assist, and you are gonna stick with a ford box, let me know, as I can send you the parameters for the box, and dimensions for drilling.
I even have the right pitman arm for the crossover if you need it. I changed boxes, and now I have an extra arm. Let me know.

not a dang thing! my saturday was taken up by family stuff and my girl was in town until sunday so she wanted to do something 'special' sunday. plus where i bought my knuckles from they shorted me a steering arm so i wouldnt have been able to get a whole lot done anyways.

i will be tinkering with it most definitely this weekend and the following week!

i will be posting pics as i make progress

I dont know why any girl wouldnt think messing with greasy kingpins wouldnt classify as "something special"

Hey if my girlfriend said "lets go rebuild that sterling 10.25 youve been kicking around this weekend" Id feel pretty special.
