Was the 360 a big block? If so did the 360 get bad gas milege like the 390?
Are they good hotroddin engines? Is there much aftermarket support?
thanks

May I suggest going back to the main forum page and scrolling down to the engine forums and you will see the FE forum where the 360 is discussed ?

Don't expect anything much better than 8-12 city / 13-20 highway, on any full sized pickup truck made from 1924 thru today.
352/360/390 = 8-12 city / 13-18 highway is the norm.
1924/96 = all these pickups have the aerodynamics of a brick.
Between 1925/73, regular leaded gas was between 10 to 30 cents a gallon.
The first gas "shortage" occured in 1974 (shortage: a lotta BS - all the petroleum companies wanted to do, was raise the prices).
1974/80...regular unleaded gas was now between $1.00 to 1.25 a gallon.
Regardless of the prices, back then...most ppl that drove these trucks didn't give a hoot about gas mileage.
First factory built pickup: 1924 Dodge 3/4 ton Express.
First factory built Ford pickup: 1925 Model T.
First "Ethyl" leaded gasoline = 1925.

I'll be getting a 360 engine and will bore it to a 390. See what kind of power and mileage I'll get.
