rear end gearing

I was bored the other day and crawled under my truck, and i found that my truck has a 2.73 rear gear. Is this common, and does any other gear ratio work better? Other information 1992 f150, 2wd, stock size tires.

For that truck I wouldn't worry about it. I've got 3.08's and sometimes wish I had 2.73's. Unless you tow a lot it doesn't get much better than what you've got.
