Need advice on installing valve guide seals
Just got started on reassembly of my 8BA and everything was going great until I got to installation of intake valves. New guides and new seals. Block has been chem. dipped and then baked. No trash in the valve guide tubes, but cannot get the guides in with seals on them. Spent all afternoon with WD-40, then silicone, tried inserting guide (w/seals) by themselves. Tried installing an assembled valve unit. Even tried hammering them in with a wooden dowel. Just can't to get them to go. Actually they look a bit large, about .008-.010 larger than the guide. If anyone has a secret trick, or otherwise knows how to get them in, I would really appreciate some advice.

They taught me everything I know. If you ask jwl or rumbleseat you should get what you need to continue. I think you just need smaller O rings.
