My last post was what fixed it, the connectors little tab had heated up and cooled down enough times that it wouldnt make a tight electrical contact, it was on the housing but not making contact. Have someone sit in the drivers seat and switch the esof while your underneath and push in on the connector and see if the light comes on, if it does the transfer case is doing its thing. And if your auto hubs dont work just manually lock them.
From what i skimmed through i think youve eliminated all the other stuff. I did in my case and thats what i came up with.

well well well.....that certainly sounds like a good next step. Thanks for that info. It is a blazing 14 degree's at 1pm in the afternoon and probably wont be able to give it a try until a little less windy and more warmth comes my way but I will keep everyone posted. RC
