hi people,can anybody tell me how or what process you go thru to vote for the next president,i have seen Obama and Clinton on tv down here in oz, are these the only people running for the job or are they getting votes to be the head of the different parties then run for president.

obama and clinton are the front running democraps,whichever one of them wins the caucus this week,will be the democrap nominee for president. after the republicans have their caucus,the one they vote for will be running for president against the dems nominee. might be a few details i left out,but that is the jist of it.

Not necessarily, cjben. All the primaries and caucuses go into determining who the parties will nominate at the Democratic and Republican National Conventions which are in August and September. That's quite a long time from now!

Those who aren't nominated usually drop out and support another candidate, but they can continue running if they wish.
