Most of the time when using the autolamp feature, one or the other HID does not come on. It isn't consistent nor is it limited to just one side. If I manually turn them off and back on, both usually are lit. Does anyone have an idea where I should start looking to fix the problem?
This is not actually a "problem". Your HID's draw quite high amps when igniting, and your vehicle draws high amps when starting....so when you put your headlights on auto you will continue to have this problem due to the fact that your HID ballast is "fighting" for power to ignite the bulbs when you start the engine. I would suggest that you simply turn on your headlights manually when they are needed (after starting the vehicle)
Quick question: Do you have projectors with your HID's? I have mine installed (6000K) in the stock headlamp housing and they blind everyone on the road due to the reflective pattern in the housing. Do you have the same issue? (if you are using teh stock housings) I have tried aiming them lower, but that didn't really seem to help.
