A 4spd tranny with a syncro 1st. gear are hard to come by in my parts. I know that they were more available on F-100's, and possibly some bronco's. As far as a bellhousing, any ford bellhosing should mate up to the Galaxy tranny. I all else fails, you could spring for a aftermarket bellhosing that would work for sure.

Those SROD's seem to work ok for me in my F-150, but I got a 300 I6 in that one. They have syncro first gears, aluminum case (so take it easy), and they are cheap. $100 around here. You can find gear ratios and more here http://mercurycapri.com/technical/trans/manual/toploader/toplinfo.html
