What makes a 79 better

I guess that sums it up then. My main question to be answered in my head was why a 79 F-350 was better than say a 86 F-350. I thought that the 80s didnt get computers until they got fuel injection but i guess im wrong. I was thinking they were basically the same truck with different bodies but boy I guess i was wrong. I had a 85 F-250 for a while with a 460. Bought it for 500 bucks but it had a short somewhere in it that I couldnt find. Sold her. Was a pretty solid truck though cept the TTB.The 460/T-18 made for a good combo IMO.
