Happy Camper

Went camping at the Salton Sea this past week. A 300 mile round trip pulling an 11k fiver. Got 13.6 mpg going with no winds and 13.0 mpg coming home with the Santa Ana winds blowing. Truck ran flawless. No complaints from this camper!!
Had a .1 mpg difference between the computer and hand calculated. Won't waste my time calculating in the future.

Salton Sea? I heard that place is a ghost town that reaks of fish?

Not this time of year. In the spring/early summer there is an algae bloom that suffocates a lot of fish, but it's nice in the winter.

I heard the same thing. Supposedly the property value ihas crashed too.

Sounds like you had a great time and are livin life!

I hand calculated my milage for the first few months owning mine and the computer was always exact or within a few tenths. .5 mpg was the max differance.
Close enough for me.

69cj,,Sounds like a good and fun trip, with the SuperDuty, the 6.0, and the fiver ! You should get some pics in your gallery, of your toys,,make sure that 69' Mach 1 is in there too,,,
