New engine assembled

It's been a long haul, especially with a change of residence after pulling the old engine and hauling dead metal around, but it's finally assembled. I still have to cut the valve covers for breathers, waiting on the correct size of hole saw. I'm hoping for installation before the new year. Many thanks to all here, especially merc460 with the crankcase evac comments.

It's either 1 1/8" or 1 1/4"
You end up having to file the edge to correct size anyway.

I just cut mine in my Ford Racing Valve Covers.

I did a set of Chevy covers and it's a pretty easy job; just use a drill bit slightly smaller than the pilot drill on the hole saw and drill a starter hole. That aluminum cuts almost as easy as wood. I'm putting both of mine at the front to eliminate any possibility of sucking up built-up oil from the back of the breathers, even with baffles. The Edelbrock oil drain holes are slightly off, just like cast iron heads.

Dennis - I'm using a Mr. Gasket header crankcase evacuation system and the rubber gasket for the breather/valve is an odd size (smaller) when compared to the Ford or aftermaket breathers I have. Eric is also using an evac system but I can't remember the brand.
