If you just want to check your pressure on a temporary basis go to a hardware store, plumbing, auto parts and get a liquid filled, 100# gauge and a couple of brass adapters and screw it in where the the schrader valve is and check your pressure.
You can leave it in place of the schrader valve but it's really, really tough to check the pressure when moving. lol
