I discovered that one of my fuel injectors is leaking. Gas is coming out where the injector goes into the head, enough to make the bottom of the injector wet and I can even see a faint smoke seeping out sometimes.
I have looked at the FI article in the tech section of this site and it seems that the injectors can be reconditioned with new orings and filters....and the parts are available from Mr. Injector on ebay. I think I can do this myself following the instructions in the article.
My question is do you think a rebuild will solve this leakage problem or does the injector need to be replaced?
I know when I got my 88 Mus GT bout 6 years back 4 of the 8 injectors were replaced. I had to replace the other 4 a few years back. Id look into gettin a set cheap so you dont have to do the job a few times when the other ones start to leak. Just my 2 cents.
