For all u that wanted to see how bad i screwed up lol Enjoy! The story goes, One Sunday evening, my friend and i was shootin the ***** and talkin about the bronco that i purchased. He brings up that ive never takin it off road yet and the bronco being from Flatrock michigan has probably never been either. So Behind my house it was muddy but not to bad. So i desided to back in there and take off, well i went the first time and made it ok. Second time i wasnt so lucky, ended up getting my rear shock mount caught on a tree root. After getting BITCHED! at by my dad and him yelling at me to call a flat bed and taking it to a junk yard becuase it was totalled, i desided to go down to the farm that i use to work on and borrow a huge john deere diesel tractor to pull it out. My dad has a powerstroke but he was so pissed he wouldnt help me. So 8 at night i finally get it to my house and we hook up the frame hooks (Notice in one of the pics that my lower lightning valance got jacked up!) and i put it in the lowest gear and i was just spinning the big tires, truck didnt move an inch. So i desided to use the bucket to lift the front of the truck up, not knowing if it would screw up my bumper, but that valance kept it from bending anything. Well around 2 in the morning i desided to let it sit, get my head together because i was pretty messed up, and start back bright and early in the morning. Morning came around and my dad not talking to me my buddy came over with a bunch of 2x4's and plywood. I so happened to have 2 highlift jacks that i bought for putting my body lift on my 79 bronco, but they suck for lifting things out of mud. So we used a bunch of planks and cut up rail road ties and pounded into the ground with a sludge hammer, Jacked up the back end as high as i could and stuffed everything i could find under em, front end sucked becasue there was no way i could hook the jack up to the front bumper, so i ended up digging under it and using a floor jack, worked great. I ended up driving out of there with only a bent sway bar bushings from the chain. Also ended up having a bunch of other of my friends over for help. It was about noon time and we was allll mud, we thought about goin to school like that but i desided to buy a bunch of pizza and mountain dew and we just chilled while i calmed down. And if you read that whole thing im sorry lol. Here are some pics
Heres another one, I have some of the tractor as well as the Lifted Jeep wrangler that tired, Hemi Ram, and after my dad saw that those couldnt budge it he thought he could be big and bad and rip it out of there with his powerstroke, after he couldnt he drive it back up to the garage and said ITS TOTALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again lol haha Also a 91 F150 with lockers and gears and some swamper tried and he couldnt. Keep it in mind that they are on dry ground because i was only about 5 feet from good traction
Thats Funny. Your Bronco is so stuck in there. Other then hydrolocking my truck and gettin stuck in the mini lake, I never have got stuck. I did get my 88 Wrangler stuck. It had a 4" body lift and 31's caus the springs were sagging so much. Me and a friend went out one night behind my house, they were building a park out there so it was nice a muddy. Well we were training someone to close at my old job, and we were like were going to go wheelin' well be back in like 15 min. So we went out to the park and were messin around. You know when they dig out a foundation for a basement or something you get them huge piles of dirt? Well we were drivin up 1 and when your drivin up all you see is up. Well when we started to come down all you see is down. I then looked up to see what was in front and there was another huge pile of dirt. I tried to stop and ended up sliding into the pile and got stuck in between both piles. We tried rocking it and friend tried to push and no go. I was like Andy we got to get back to show him how to close. So he was like alright. We walked about a 1/2 mile in the mud that was up 2 my knees. He walked back to our job and I staied waiting for my friend to come with his Bronco. He just got it and we didnt know much about it. Well 5 feet from where I went in he got stuck caus the 4x4 didnt work on the truck. My jeep was fine because no one could see it in between the 2 piles. The bronco on the other hand was stuck in front of a 10 building medical complex. We tried from 10:45 to 2 am to get his bronco out. We finally get it out when we ripped the lides off the dumpsters and stuck it under his back wheels. While backing out his tail pipe fell off and got wrapped around the axle. But it was out at least. So the next morning we went back with a hax saw to cut the pipe off. We did that then he went home. Me on the other hand still had my jeep stuck in the park while the guys were working there. My bro had an 88 Wrangler with a 5 1/2" lift and 35's. He was getting some trans work done on it so we couldnt use it till it was done. So around lunch time we picked his wrangler up and went to go get mine. Well when we entered the park the workers called me over and were like "Is that your jeep out there?'' I was like "Yes that is mine." He then said "If you need help getting it out I can send a backhoe over to help." I was like "THANKS MAN" We then went to pull it and I didnt get a ticket or anything but I now know not to go wheelin by my self. Here are some pics. Not the best caus there from my 1st camera cell.
LOL niiice! its always a blast wheeling, but getting stuck is not so fun. I got my 79 bronco with a 4 inch suspension 3 inch body and 35 inch swamper tsl sx's stuck, well wait, i didnt! My drunk dad did becasue he was gonna show me how a real man bogs. Well lets just say we got the backhoe stuck also. that was another crappy time, the backhoe was able to get my truck unstuck while he was stuck, and he used the bucket to lift the back tires up and we put stuff under it. It was a solid muck field and when he threw the bucket down on the ground, it didnt matter if you was standing 50 yards away you still felt it like the ground was jello!
im sure glad you got it out, but i know why youre dad was so mad, he has a nice pad..
Yea it was pretty tore up back there, especially after the tractor. Since then we r ok, he said yea he was young and stupid once and it wasnt a big deal. We are moving sometime this winter to a house in a town, so no more back yard boggin for me. If i do go with friends il take my new fourwheeler! Its a little easier to get out especially with the winch. Its not in that picture becasue that was the first day i had it home.
Well i had a 1999 Fourtrax 300 and i beat the Hell out of that thing! I bought it for 5000 (Got ripped off) but owned it for 5 years and sold it for 3500, i didnt loose to much. I bought this Honda Rancher 420 Fuel Injected and its Very torquey! Hondas Utilities to me are not that fast. My old fourtrax was full time fourwheel drive, so turning sucked and the top speed was about 30 mph. This has a top speed of around 45-50 and i can take it out of fourwheel drive. Stock tires suck to so i bought 26 inch Mud lights. I wanted the Grizzly but it was a little to much than what i wanted to spend. Plus i got a killer deal on this one. Polaris is nice, but i dont like the plastic racks and the automatic. But its all up to you, there all awesome bikes
Man....gonna have to get them pics of my buddy's truck that got stuck on Sunday...wish they had taken some of my truck (yes the one in my sig) pullin out my BIL's 85 Chevy on 37's....TWICE.........Same thing with this one...jello.......it was alotta fun though.Later
I liked my Yamaha 250 utility, had a crappy way of going into reverse. Neighbor had a Polaris 750 utility and that thing hauled something feirce. Had a few Kawasaki also. They ran strong. Had nice reverse. I could do sick reverse 180's into 1st. Go around to your local dealers and see what they got and what you like. Try to make deals with them lol.
