My ses lite came on and I pulled the codes indicating my vss, I reset the dtc`s and it (ses) has not come back on.My O/D lite was flashing as well before I reset.Everything is ok now ( going on about 15 miles) How long do I have until armaggedon? I still have to go about 220 miles before I can fix it,whaddya think.Help appreciated
its most likely the vss sensor on the rear pumpkin also known as the rear abs sensor. it costs about $11 at napa. real easy to change. shouldn't be a problem to drive till you can pick up the part.

if the o/d light is flashing i would get the trany fluid changed as soon as you can mine was flashing changed the fluid and it was pretty nasty looking
with 245K you'll have a fair amount of shavings. But don't be too alarmed. I agree with those who recommended a fluid change. If you have a limited slip rear end, don't forget the friction modifier additive.
If you are concerned with wear, after you change the fluid just check it every 12k or so miles. Personally, I would swap the fluid and forget about it. There are too many other things in life that cause stress. No sense in adding more
I pilled the codes and they came as vss, so I`m at a loss. the blinking is consistent , you know like a drip from a faucet. I reset my dtc`s and all is fine and then it ciomes on.Thinking about it the blinking (probs) happen when I`m backing up, like in my driveway,,,,, thoughts?
