clear codes via banks and uninstall all banks equipment and see if it returns. if it does, I suggest taking it to a delaer or replacing the egr unit by yourself.

Take the egr off and clean it. There is a detailed remove/clean/and install in the tech folder. It is probably stuck open. You could also unplug the egr and see if it still acts the same. MAKE SURE YOU DO IT WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD. IMO i would take off all of the banks stuff. I have heard nothing but bad things from Ford owners about banks.

You need to make sure the truck is NOT running and the key is turned off before unplugging it or you will stick it in the ON position. Don't know if just unplugging it will work without throwing CEL on '05 up, my buddy did it on his '06 and he had to plug back in for CEL to go out.

I have an 05 and mine has been unplugged for about 7000 miles and no CEL. Be sure to read the Tech foder on EGR removal. If you pull it you may need to replace the O rings. When you clean it be sure not to get any liqiud above the bottom of the housing. Tech folder has all instrctions and cautins.

Have you read the tech folder? All you should have to do on the 2005 is unplug the valve and remove the 2 bolts. There is a tool to remove them with and makes it alot easier.
