Recently, when starting my truck in the morning I get a whistling sound from the engine compartment. I assume that this is due to the very cold out side air temp. My truck is all stock for now so no aftermarket intake. Has anyone else experienced this? No big deal or a symptom of a big deal? Any info is always good. Thanks in advance.
Usually an intake whistle is the result of a fitting too loose. I would check to see that all components are snug (not tight since they are cold). Pop the hood next time and grab a-hold of the any suspect tubing and that should point you in the right direction.
I don't see the TSB either...I know there were some posts on here awhile back about this...sorry for the misinformation. I do have the whistle though...
My 04 does it when it is really cold and I am going at a steady speed. As soon as I give it more gas it stops. If I slow down to a steady speed again it will come back! Only when it is very cold.
