Getting shocked.

Now that it is getting colder, I'd bet it just ole static electricity. Some vehicles are worse than others. I have never been shocked getting out of mine but I'll get a shock every time I touch the handle on my wife's SUV.

What are you touching when you get shocked? What's the temperature & humidity when this happens? Do you have cloth or leather seats?

I read somewhere once that it is more of a problem now because of the way tires are made. It seems that they are using less of some componet that doesn't let the cars discharge to the ground as well. I was told that the strap you see on fuel and gas truck hanging to the ground is for that very reason.
