Happy days car show In San Martin Ca. In August

This will be the 6th annual Car show located just south of San Jose. About 20 minutes or so. One of my good friends helps with the event every year, so I expect it to be the same this time. They have everything from live music to swap meets. Plus their will be food and Awards for the Best in Show on multiple levels!! We need more FORDS!!!!!!
I am telling you guys far in advance so you will have no excuses to miss it!
Thats seven months to get your truck or car road worthy and painted which is what I'm planning to do!!!
Might as well make it a family event!!!!
Think of it as a New Years resolution for apearing at more shows!
I will remind you guys later as the year progresses and as I get info on 08's event
And have a great New Year!!!!!
Kevin

We will be moving in August, but that would be on the 1st, so any time after that I am free. Should have a Ford by then too. Hopefully )

Now is the time to get these trucks painted. Winter months are the best if you farm out the work. Prices are really good this time of year. However, I'm about 3 months away from that myself. Maybe a little less with some hard work.

Kevin - I expect that there are a lot of show trucks at this event? Or, is it just fair looking trucks with all their parts and a few well done hobby rebuilds. I'm trying to figure out if my truck would even get in the gate.

I mean some of us still show rust under the hood and on the chassis and maybe a little under the paint at times and a few scratches / touch ups. Are these out of the program? Don't get me wrong nice looking trucks but, they are used and used well on a daily basis.

I have what I describe at a 20 ft truck. Looks great at 20 feet. However, if you get up closer you'll see a lot of small things such as scratches, dents, rust, wear, chrome pitting, etc...

I'm pretty sure that your truck will be able to enter the gate.
I entered a friends old 69 442 which was all origonal and had at least three major dents in it. The hood was all rusty and the liner was tattered to $#it. It got three votes for being most origonal!!!
Every entry is accepted and it doesn't matter if its custom or OEM.
I will keep you guys posted on the event and I too have to go back to work on the 68 to get things ready for August.

Oh.. By the way, as I was leaving early... I drove through the crowd and had the trunk pop open as I went over the speed bump.. My friends and I still laugh at that today!!!!
Ahh good memories!!!!

At the moment I don't know the date. I want to varify to be sure.... But I think its either on the 16th or the 23rd. I will get back to you as soon possible.
Kevin

Also they are only accepting 76 and older. >I believe<. Once again I need to check.

I missed it this past year. Maybe my dad will actually be telling the truth when he says the woodie will be completely done by June for Woodies On The Wharf in Santa Cruz...

If not, then maybe I'll just take his old T down.
