What is everyone doing for New Years? My wife and oldest boy (13) are driving down to Dallas to watch Missou shread Arkansas. My wife's a Missou alumnist. I am staying home with the little guy (4) and we're going to eat pizza, drink mugs of root beer and try to spot mommy and bubby (she scored 9th row up on the 50!)
this year we have home party
have few friends coming over, finally i can get bummed out and not have to think about driving LOL..... i dont do that to often but once in a while its good......
Going to grill some burgers (no one, and I mean NO ONE grills a burger like me) after work (triple time and a half today) and then set up a bonfire for the kids to sit around. Probbaly drink a few beers and then light off a few fireworks at midnight. Nothing too exciting but still a good time.

Just gonna stay home with the wife and kids and relax. 2007 hasn't been a great year for me so i can't wait to see it gone!! lol Have a happy and prosperous new year!!!!!
I wish I could claim to be a grill master, but alas that is not where my strength lays. My wife is the Queen of the grill and can bring a steak of at the point of perfection.
I am probably not as good with steak as your wife, just so-so- there for me. I am pretty good with most other meats on the grill and with a smoker pit (everyone is Texas owns one, it's law) I am damn good. I can smoke ribs and brisket that people argue over. I love to eat....too much.
on our first date my wife told me she loved to cook and I told her I loved to eat so I don't know what those other 28 demensions of compatability are, but this little arrangement has worked pretty well for us
O.K. Scott, I call THROWDOWN!! I can smoke some mean ribs and brisket too. It is also a law in Aladamnbama that 1 person residing in a household must competently know how to attend a pit. RIBS AT TEN PACES.
As for us, Rampage_F350 and his family are coming over and we are going to have a good old crab and shrimp boil tonight.

Another vote for smoking. We are going to smoke a brisket to night at a friends house
okay Brandon, Mapquest says it's ten hours from me to you.. if I only stop to fuel up I can be there by midnight... will you have any crab and shrimp left? Oh that's right, I lose an hour so 1ish, you'll still be up right?
Picked up ten pounds of steamer clams and ten pounds of mussels and planned on smoking them tonight (reminds me of the joke about smoking salmon - I love to smoke salmon, but they sure are hard to get lit!).
Anyway, just got a call from my part-time trucking job..."Hey Neal, can you take a unit to Sacramento tonight for us?" So, I've going to bobtail to Sacramento tonight - so my wife will smoke the clams and mussels and my neighbor will come help her and my daughter eat them...I'll get back around 4 am...everything will be eaten and drunk. Dang!!! I am a loser...
They ought to pay me hazardous duty pay for being on the road tonight. So drink an adult beverage for me...I'll be the guy in the cabover with a bad-attitude crossing Donner Summit at 3am, dodging the drunks.
