cam selection

I am considering buying a cam from Comp Cams for my 1986 5.8 HO eng with E7TE heads with the Thermactor bumps ported out. Engine is stock except for the later heads and 650 carb. It was rebuilt about 18000 miles back and the heads were installed then and ported the bumps out and a five angle valve job and stock valves and springs. I plan on a new set of Hooker Headers and a new Edelbrock Performer Intake to replace the stock 4 barrel intake that came on the truck. I want a little more torque and HP without going for broke on this build. Just something for low and good mid-range. I have been looking at the Dual energy cam with 265In and 273 ex duration and at .050 211 and 223 degrees. Lift .472In and .486ex. 110 LSA.How do you think this cam, intake, and headers will improve my performance? Also buying the springs and new lifters for the cam and a roller chain to boot. I have previously asked on this site if anyone could tell me the specs on the stock 351 HO cam as I would hate to buy a new cam and find out that my HO cam was as good, so if anyone has the info on lift and duration please let me know. Thanx, Bud

HO cam was 0.442/0.450" lift with 260 advertised duration. Get a cam with 0.500" lift if you can find it, and a wider LSA will help TQ. The Comp 35-349-8 is a roller cam but it's the profile you should aim for.
