2004 F150 with 26,000 miles. Truck is steering very hard with no return. I replaced power steering pump. Helped for a day then problem reoccured. No fluid loss, no visible contaniments in reservoir, all ball joints are in good shape. Where do I go from here. Thanks in advance!!

 

Probably the dealership. Might be the rack-and-pinion? There are some other posts on here where folks have had to have theirs replaced. Do a search and see if their symptoms were the same as yours. Is it still under warranty? Did you flush the whole system when you replaced the pump? According to the service manual there is a purging procedure that needs to be done when the pump is replaced to make sure there is no air in the system.
