Broken Glow Plug wire ?

Broken Glow Plug wire ?
I have a 92 F-350 that i got 8 New Glow Plugs for X-Mass. Went out an started replacing them when i went to remove one of the Plastic Glow plug Cap found it to be Broken off. I got this truck used last summer so it could have been broken for a while. Yes it dident start to well when it started to get cold. So i went on an replaced the Glow pug anyway. Got all 8 pluges in with no problem. What would be the best thing to do to fix this problem, Are there a Repair kit made for splicing a new end on my broken wire? How much truble would it be to get a new harnes an replace them all.There are several outhers that are in pretty bad shape, Plastic broken off but still coneckted? Thanks

Plastic broken off just use heat shrink to cover the metal area.... for the broken off one you can use one of the large blue wire butt connectors from the AParts store. Just make sure it fits the bullet tip on the GP. Do not cut anymore than is absolutely required off the wire as shortening it changes the resistance.
What brand of GPs did you get.... if they are NOT Beru/Motorcraft ZD9 take them back... autolite/champion are problem ridden....... they swell, quite and the tips will tear off on removal..... falling into the cylinder and a head R&R is required.

I will be gowing to Napa right after new years to get a a Blue wire bett conector. Well as far as what the New ones are, Pretty sure they were Autolite,They were in a Orange box. Got them as a X-Mass present from my Wife so i went ahead an put Anti Cize on them an put them in. I had plained on getting the Motocraft ZD9s,Havent checked for them in a while but from some of the posts i have been reeding they are getting Hard to find?? Do you know if this is true if not who still has them? I thank i will go get a set of these an just weight a year or so an replace them. Thanks again.

If you use the Autolites you may be very sorry..... I would just remove them NOW and use the Beru's....... Check azone in your area.... ask for part # "ZD9" DO NOT mention glow plugs. You may get them for 2.99 ea if in stock. If you can get 2 complete sets at that price BONUS..........you may never need them but it is cheap insurance.
