sequential fuel injection
Just a question of curiosity, though there may yet be some practicality to it; is there any way to make the bank fire injection 2.9Liter into sequential fuel injection or at least set it up to fire each injector individually in timing with the ignition?

Anything's possible with enough time money and ingenuity.
To my knowledge the 2.9 was never SEFI, so you won't find a computer out there set up to run the 2.9 SEFI.
There are companies who do custom tunes, one of them might be able to design a custom tune for you that will run the 2.9 SEFI. I have no idea how much that would cost.
You would have to rewire the injectors so they're each on their own circuit. It might need a different cam sensor, but I don't know.
I don't really know how practical it would be, because it would be pretty much an all custom job. I doubt you're going to find a "kit" out there for this.
