I have a 97 F350, regular cab. Its pretty tight inside the cab, not a whole lot of room behind the seats. I wanan throw a system in it, nothin crazy, just a little somethin. Anyone with a regular cab ever do a system? If so what was your setup?
Granted the system is close to 10 years old at this point, but it may help to give you some ideas. Not a show system by any means, but fairly functional and done on a budget.
1997 F-350 regular cab:
Sony ES cassette head unit with CD changer controls (single DIN unit).
Sony 10-disc CD changer mounted behind the driver seat.
Pioneer 6 1/2" two-ways in doors (integrated tweeter, not separates).
Pioneer 6x8" two-ways at rear pillars.
Two Sony amps underneath the seat (40x4 for full-range speakers, 280x1 for subwoofer).
Kickler Solo-baric (the old round one, not the square one) 8" in sealed pre-fab box.
Pioneer EQ and crossover mounted underneath front cup holder.
My friend has a F250 reglar cab with a system in it. He replaced the door speakers with polk momo 6 1/2's and put two of the 12 inch pioneer thin subwoofers. I think they are even called pancake subwoofers. Im pretty sure you can fit kicker comp vr's in there because i have an F250 crew cab with 3 of the 10 inch comp vr's and they fit in the tight space behind the seat.
I think the seat goes all the way back, I really don't remember. This is the second sub I had in the truck; the first one was a hair bigger and ended up ruining the seat cover the first time around.
