Clicking in the front end

When driving around with my hubs locked or when its in 4wd without the hubs locked i hear a clicking in the front end the hubs are new and so is the driveshaft i cant seem to figure it out because the 4wd works. btw the front axle is a dana 60 with a 4.10 posi. any ideas would be awesome

all the time doesnt get better or worse when i steer

hurm.....drive shaft u-joints or axle shaft u-joints going bad. When they're rotating you're hearing them bang around....

im leaning towards the axle shaft u-joints because the front drive shaft is new and so are the u-joints

the axle is an 86 the rest is a combination of years

shaft joints......if its not that it could be something internal in the diff or could be the hub bearings.....but thats a long shot..

btw i forgot to mention last week when i had the front driveshaft out the truck stoped clicking wehn the hubs where locked and in 4wd without the drive shaft. is it possible that its somehting bad in the t-case that only happens when theres a load on it?

hurm.....it could be....but i'd check those ujoints in your driveshaft again.....is there a lift on this truck?

the driveshaft u-joints are all brand new last week and yeah theres a 6'' skyjacker lift in it

ahh...it could very well be just from the angle on the driveshaft ujoints....i know with a six inch lift your getting close to the max angle on those joints.....i used to have problems with those on mine. Still i'd check out the axle shaft joints....

It could be the shaft joints, but, I would double check that you put the hubs together correctly and the spring and spacers (bearings) and cam are correctly positioned.

I had a clicking before in my truck and it turned out when I swapped to Mile Marker I didn't line things up correctly and once I disassembled the hub the clicking went away.
