Dry gas

Which brand of dry gas is safe to use in diesel engines? I know that there has been talk about alcohol being bad for the injectors. But I was told its the isopropyl alcohol that gets rid of the water. Is Iso Heat brand( red Bottle) safe to use. I have used it a few times with no problems, am I just lucky? Iso Heat says it's safe for diesel engines!

Under no curcumstances that I am aware of do you ever want to put alcohol in a diesel engine. Alcohol causes water to mix with gas and will defeat the water seperator, carrying the water through the pump and injectors.

Keep your water seperator drained and water in the fuel shouldn't be a problem.

What's the real issue here? If you are trying to get ready for winter, consider the PowerService DieselKleen in the white bottle. The primary difference in the bottle colors (gray or white bottles) is that the white has a anti-gel for colder weather.

I concur with dchamberlain...nothing with alcohol...it'll hurt your injectors!
