HOT engine starting problems

I'm trying to work on a truck for someone (88 F350 7.3) and when cold, it would not crank, I put glow plugs and that fixed it, but when the engine runs for a while and warms up, it won't crank!!!!!!! I'm about to pull my hair out, I've never seen this one before, any suggestions.

I'm assuming not crank means not start.... cranking is normally engine rotation by the starter. How many miles on the injection pump. Quite often a no start after a hot shutdown and an immediate restart is a worn out IP.

I bought a used 94 that had a hard to start when hot problem. They had replaced the batterys, alternator, starter and injectors. I Found the injector pump timming was off...and not by much. I lined the marks up on the pump and cover and WOW! you'd thought I rebuilt the engine. Cost nothing to check that timming first.

Timing is the first thing I checked, but it didn't help, I'm going to mess with it some more tomorrow. I couldn't get it to start once it cooled down because it wouldn't turn fast enough, I put the batteries out of another truck in it and it didn't help, so I think I'm going to have some starter problems.

You need minimum 2x 850CCA batteries and a starter that spins 200rpm+, faster than you can count revolutions.
